Background

The Adwaitananda Mission, a center for spirituality and practice is organized as a charitable organization in USA. It is charitable organization registered in USA as an extension of Adwaitananda Mission of Hrishidham, Banskhali, Chittagong, Bangladesh. Inspired by the ideals of renunciation and service as practiced by Swami Adwaitananda, the monks and lay devotees of the Mission serves millions of men, women and children, without any distinction of caste, religion or race, because they see the living God in them.

Our Mission

The Mission intends to serve people by bringing to fore the spirituality and practices to enhance the lives of people and advocating the principles of "karma" in which spirituality services as the central conduit. Located at the Los Angeles, California, the mission's goal is to provide followingessentials services:

• Vedic Science based human development

• Social welfare for poor and homeless.

• Other community services.

Swami Adwaitananda Puri Maharaj was born in Banigram under Banskhali subdistrict of Bangladesh on 19th May, 1903. He was named as "Adwaita" by his parents guru Sripad Amritlala Goswami who has lineage to Probhu Nityananda.

Our Purposes

The Driving Force Behind Our Work

Promote and improve human rights in Bangladesh and help stop and prevent human rights abuses, brutality, oppression, xenophobia, racial discrimination and religious intolerance against Bangladesh minorities, and bring offenders to justice for their criminal conducts of present and past.

Encourage individuals/organizations to continue uninterrupted social service specific to the wellbeing of minorities and ethnic communities. Provide charitable, educational and medical help and to provide rehabilitation and other humanitarian assistance to minorities and ethnic communities.

Work with the United Nations (UN) to help the oppressed Minorities and provide assistance to improve their living conditions and safeguard them so that they can enjoy human rights as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)

Encourage communication and collaboration among organizations serving human rights and spirituality.

Provide humanitarian services and assistance to refugees belonging to destitute and oppressed minorities.

Encourage and promote worldwide awareness campaign on the plight of spirituality and integration among different believes and thoughts.

Swami Shuvananda Puri

Swami Shuvananda Puri is Priest, Spiritual Leader and Peace Ambassador of Bangladesh. He completed Master Degree in English Literature from Southern University, Bangladesh. He achieved Post Graduate Diploma in Indian Classical Music. He is appeared in Ph.D. research at National University, Bangladesh. He is a regular artist and Yoga Specialist of Bangladesh Television. He is the priest of Swami Adwaitananda Mission. As a spiritual leader, he teaches the youth about Vedic philosophy and culture. He vowed his life for the betterment of mankind. He is adviser editor of 'The News', Daily Bengali Newspaper. He has been awarded with several honorary designations such as Peace Ambassador and the Vice-president of World Hindu Federation - Bangladesh Chapter, Vice-president of Bangladesh Minority Watch, and President of Swami Adwaitananda Mission etc. He travelled different countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, China, Vietnam, Laos, Nepal, Bhutan, India and the United States as a messenger of peace and harmony.
